I think some people choose 60 minute sessions because they don’t know they have any other option. That was certainly the case with me until I became a massage therapist. For whatever reason, 60 minutes has become to the standard, but in most cases, it may not help you in the way that you want.
If you are looking to relax and unwind, I recommend at least a 90 minute session because it will take you at least 30 minutes on the table to start relaxing. If you only have 30 minutes remaining, that is typically not enough time to heal your body.
If you have ANY area on your body that needs extra attention, due to soreness, stiffness or limited movement, 60 minutes is not sufficient time to give you an overall general massage AND the work that needs to be done on an area.
I am not opposed to 60 minute sessions. They are perfectly suited for injury work when you have one or two problem areas needing treatment OR an overall general massage without any “work” at all.
Helping you to reach your goal is my priority. I want you to feel, perform and live in your body they way YOU want, which is why I offer sessions all the way up to three hours. And you won’t find sessions this long anywhere else.
