I am committed to the idea that regular massage helps people live better, healthier lives. I believe that the science behind massage therapy, listening to clients and being intuitive, all play an active role in providing the best results possible for each individual client.

Clients of all ages, occupations and lifestyles come to me to feel better. It may be to manage stress, ease stiff, sore muscles, recover faster from strenuous workouts, decrease medication dependence or improve range of motion. Whatever the reason, massage therapy is a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.
I use a variety of modalities as part of my practice, which includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, stretching and Reiki.
Living a healthy lifestyle myself is important to me. Working out, meditating, spending time outside, eating healthy foods, getting regular massages and other types of body and energy work are all a part of my own healthcare practices, not just what I advocate for clients. I want to take care of others and I believe that begins with taking care of myself.
My Story
How I became a massage therapist began in 2013 with a dream I had. I was in my 20th year of teaching middle school and struggling tremendously. The stresses of being a classroom teacher caused me to develop debilitating anxiety. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but knew that I needed to leave. After much research, work with a life coach and career counselor, the seed of my next profession actually came from a dream I had. I dreamt that Jefferson County paid me to come in and massage the faces and hands of the “challenging” students. Though I never thought that would happen, it did plant a seed offering some sort of direction. I talked to the people who I went to for my massages, made a few phone calls and visits, and ended up at Advanced Massage Therapeutics with Charlie Watson. After a few massage classes, I knew that I was on the right path because for the first time in my life, I felt naturally good at what I was doing without exerting 150% of my energy. What a wonderful feeling. I had found my calling.
After passing the state exam in December of 2014, my husband and I decided to remodel our basement so I would have a separate studio space to work from home, a place that I love. I opened my business in March of 2015 and here I am now…. doing work that I enjoy and grateful to be able to offer healing to others!
